I'm That Guy With The Camera. I carry it most times I go out. Particularly
to goth clubs, which are full of beautiful and sufficiently vain subjects.
I see a gorgeous picture or a friend looking gorgeous and I MUST GET THAT
PHOTO.
I don't think I'm particularly photogenic. The grey front tooth is NOT a
happener, nor is the encroaching bald spot. But people keep insisting on
taking a photo of me back ...
Liz gave me a hat for my birthday. I wear it everywhere. I am also
discovering that it's a *wonderful* prop. There are people I'm trying to
convince to get (back) into hats.
I spend enough on photos that I really should buy a digital camera, but one
I could cope with (I want 3 megapixels and save as TIFF) is far too
expensive for me to risk losing. Because I do lose things. A $50 compact is
trivial (though I get REALLY upset at losing the undeveloped shots); a
>$1000 digital would really be a bit much ...
It's a bit like a diary or a journal. It's proof that a thing happened.
I quite regret not having a camera present for my birthday this year -
myself and seven women out at dinner ... the ideal thing to put in my
Powerpuff Girls "Girls, Girls, Girls!" photoframe.
